After more than 25 years in nonprofit and higher education leadership, Armstrong has reached a point in her career where she is putting that experience to work in a different way. Today, she serves in fractional executive leadership roles, partnering with mission-driven organizations that benefit from seasoned executive leadership, strategic guidance, and organizational capacity tailored to their stage of growth. She currently serves as Executive Director of St. Landry-Evangeline United Way and is concurrently joining HAAPE as Chief Operating Officer, bringing decades of leadership experience to organizations at pivotal stages of growth and impact.

Prior to joining United Way, Armstrong built a distinguished career in higher education advancement and alumni engagement, most recently serving as Associate Vice President of Alumni Engagement at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and CEO of the UL Lafayette Alumni Association. Throughout her career, she has provided strategic leadership in alumni relations, donor engagement, communications, and organizational development at institutions including Baylor University, Baylor College of Medicine, Trinity University, the University of North Texas, and her alma mater, Texas Tech University.
Known for her collaborative leadership style and passion for relationship-building, Armstrong has led transformational engagement initiatives, developed high-performing teams, and cultivated meaningful partnerships between organizations and the communities they serve. Her transition to fractional nonprofit leadership reflects a continued commitment to servant leadership and a desire to help mission-driven organizations strengthen their capacity, expand their reach, and increase their impact.

Armstrong earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and her Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from the University of North Texas. Beyond her professional work, she is an active community volunteer and has served in leadership roles with nonprofit organizations, conference planning committees, church ministries, and community outreach initiatives throughout her career. Armstrong and her family reside in Opelousas, Louisiana.
