Angela Foglia

Angela Foglia is an accomplished IT executive and strategic innovator with over two decades of experience leading technology-driven transformation. As a former Divisional CIO at Howmet Aerospace, she directed enterprise-scale initiatives that blended operational efficiency with secure, forward-thinking solutions—managing multimillion-dollar budgets and projects, while steering cross-functional teams through periods of growth, disruption, and digital reinvention.

A pioneer in Smart Manufacturing, Angela played a central role in bridging the gap between engineering and IT. She established and led the Smart Manufacturing function at Arconic, leveraging Industrial IoT platforms to deliver scalable, secure, and sustainable systems that improved business supportability and compliance. Her entrepreneurial journey took root during her tenure as IT Leader at the Alcoa Technical Center, the global research and development campus for Alcoa. There, she cultivated a passion for innovation, collaborating with the engineers to bring bold ideas to life. Today, she channels that spirit as co-founder of a startup focused on secure, cloud-free file transmission—a timely response to growing demands around privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance. Her work reflects a deep commitment to advancing communication technologies that uphold data sovereignty and reduce exposure risk, while introducing a flexible, pay-for-use model to meet the evolving needs of organizations.

In addition to her technology leadership, Angela is devoted to community impact and inclusion. She is an active member of Women for Economic Leadership and Development (WELD) and the Pittsburgh Technology Council (PTC). She volunteers with the University of Pittsburgh Career Center—mentoring students on résumés and interview preparation to help them step confidently into the workforce.
