Daniel Wierman

Workforce Development Advisory Board Member

Founder of CNC Career Network

Daniel Wierman has dedicated his career to building workforce pathways in the advanced manufacturing sector. He began at S&H Machine, where he led training and recruiting efforts and managed both U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and California Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) Registered Apprenticeship Programs within the shop. His hands-on experience growing and supporting new talent pipelines led him to Goodwill Southern California, where he served as Apprenticeship Coordinator, helping individuals connect to manufacturing careers through structured training and employer partnerships.

Building on this success, Daniel became Regional Sector Strategies Manager for Southern California, where he worked across multiple counties to expand advanced manufacturing workforce initiatives. In this role, he helped fund and grow the Uniquely Abled Academy (UAA) at College of the Canyons, supporting CNC training programs designed specifically for individuals with autism and other unique abilities. His collaboration with Uniquely Abled deepened his commitment to building skills-based career pathways.

Today, Daniel is the founder of the CNC Career Network, an initiative dedicated to building sustainable talent pipelines in advanced manufacturing. Through the CNC Career Guide, Daniel helps align organizations, educators, and companies to create clear, step-by-step career pathways that guide career seekers from getting informed, to getting trained, to getting hired in local manufacturing industries. His work ensures that every stakeholder plays an active role in building the next generation of skilled talent.

In addition to building connections, Daniel focuses on aligning regional funding sources to support career seeker training. By helping organizations and companies secure funding to pay for education and hands-on training at local schools and employers, he works to create long-term, self-sustaining career networks that strengthen America’s manufacturing workforce at the regional level.
