Dr. Ganna Palagina is an innovative neuroscientist and a big data enthusiast. She is an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, where she does research on visual perception, motor function and decision-making in autistic and neurotypical brains.
She works on a novel approach to study core features of autism, such as atypical sensory processing and repetitive behaviors, integrating behavioral data, eye movement analysis and the associated activity of thousands of neurons across sensory and high-level frontal lobe cortices. She is now interested in applying big data methods to help develop living and working spaces tailored to the unique needs of autistic individuals.
