Hernan is a member of the HAAPE Board of Directors. He was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He studied Law at the Central University of Venezuela followed by a Master’s in International Economics Business Law from the same academic institution.
He had the opportunity to handle cases within international organizations WTO (World Trade Organization) and CAN (Andean Community). In 2003 he moved to the United States of America and started his successful banking career holding important management positions putting in practice his business academic knowledge acquired at the University of Washington from its Executive Leadership program. He also completed the Master’s level program from Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, focused in Management of Financial Institutions along with his credit analysis and financial accounting studies from The Risk Management Association.
Aligned with his believe that we all can make a difference, he served as Chairman for the American Lung Association in South Florida and is also the former Fundraising Director for the American Cancer Society in Broward County. Currently is Vice President Business Banking Relationship Manager at Amerant Bank serving Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Palm Beach and Weston area helping business owners to grow their companies with the right financial tools.
