Jerry Sutton is a leading disability advocate and influencer in the Atlanta region. His career reflects 40 years of service to the nation, to veterans, to students, and to the people-with-disability community. Jerry is a retired Command Chief Master Sergeant and combat aviator who served with distinction for 23 years in the United States Air Force. He has worked at the executive level in post-secondary education and Federal Contracting in support of veterans. He has also served as the Director of Learning & Organizational Development of the Bobby Dodd Institute (BD1). At BDI, Jerry found his passion for helping bring a voice to those often not heard.

Jar/ achieved national recognition as a Leadership and Management recipient of the Arthur S. Flemming Award. This award honors outstanding federal employees and is recognized by the President of the United States, agency heads, and private sector. Flemming alumni include many notable recipients: Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Paul Volcker, Jr., John Chancellor, Neil Armstrong, Elizabeth Dole, Robert Gates, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and William Phillips (Nobel laureate in 1997). Jerry was also selected as a recipient of the Secretary of Defense Productivity Excellence Award. This award represents the highest level of recognition an individual can receive for productivity improvement within the Department of Defense. Jerry is a Summa Cum Laude Honor Graduate with four degrees in Education, Business, Aerospace Operations, and Educationat’Instructional Technology. Jerry is a native of Macon, Georgia, and currently resides in Marietta, Georgia.
