Kelly Furey

Chapter Managing Director

Kelly Biborosch Furey lives in the Western suburbs of Philadelphia. She is a graduate of Loyola College in Baltimore, MD where she received a BS in Sociology. Kelly was recruited to play for their NCAA Division One Lacrosse team and won numerous awards for her leadership on campus and in the Baltimore community.

After graduation, she joined GENEX Services Inc., a national rehabilitation company helping insurance companies, third party administrators and employers with occupational and non-occupational related claims. Kelly traveled the country as their National Disability Sales Manager. While there she also took on responsibility for selling GENEX’s Social Security Disability Programs.

Kelly’s career also included working with The Vanguard Group Inc. She quickly rose through the ranks starting in processing, becoming a Trainer for new hires, Client Relationship Associate and then served clients in their Trust Operations Department. When significant health challenges forced Kelly to step away from business, she spent years working tirelessly to overcome challenging health issues. Tapping into the drive that made her a successful college athlete and successful businesswoman Kelly was able to learn to walk again.

She is determined to bring HAAPE up North. Kelly brings firsthand experience as a parent of a young adult on the spectrum, autism advocate/volunteer, businesswoman and community volunteer to building the HAAPE Philadelphia Chapter. Her passion in the belief that HAAPE is the answer for parents and autistic young adults to enable them to successfully gain certifications & career opportunities leading to independence. Kelly is working hard to establish these programs in Philadelphia through her volunteer work with HAAPE.
