Thomas Hamed is a transportation professional with experience in both mobility and helping neurodiverse workers achieve success. Thomas leads multiple efforts for HAAPE, including chairing the Autism Advisory Board (AAB) and working with HAAPE partners on mobility issues, including Little Friends in Illinois and the Columbus Community Center in Utah. Thomas is most proud of the AAB, a group of working professionals on the spectrum that both evaluates HAAPE programs and suggests new ones, ultimately helping HAAPE develop policy direction.
Thomas has over ten years of experience strategizing for mobility across multiple organizations, including The Coca-Cola Company, City of Alexandria in Virginia, and the U.S. Department of Defense. Currently, he works on the regional coordination team for Loudoun County, Virginia.
Thomas has also been involved in educating city planners on how to make their content accessible to neurodiverse populations, as well as others with accessibility needs.
